Compute Host Terms
These Host Terms govern your participation as a compute supplier on the Perchy marketplace ("Host"). They are in addition to the Terms of Service; if there is a conflict, the Host Terms control for host activities.
1. Scope
You connect GPU capacity ("Compute") through the Perchy host CLI. Perchy routes encrypted application traffic to your Compute and pays you for occupied lane time. You are an independent contractor — these Host Terms do not create an employment, agency, or partnership relationship.
2. Supplying compute
- You decide when your Compute is online and you can pause earning at any time via
npx perchy host pause. - You set caps (VRAM, system load, time-of-day, allowed model families) so your Compute is never used beyond what you allow.
- You must keep the host CLI updated; we publish a 30-day support window for any client release.
3. Earnings and payouts
You earn a share of the lane price for each second your Compute serves an active position. The host share is published in pricingand may change on a forward-looking basis with 30 days' notice.
- Payouts are processed via Stripe Connect on a weekly schedule.
- Minimum payout is $25; balances below the minimum roll forward.
- Bank fees, currency conversion, and taxes are handled per Stripe's standard payout flow.
- Lane time fraudulently generated (self-traffic, collusion, simulated occupancy) is not earnable and may be reversed.
4. Identity, KYC, and tax
Before any payout we collect identity information through Stripe Connect (and a third-party verifier where required). U.S. hosts who exceed the IRS reporting threshold will receive a Form 1099 in January of the following year. Hosts outside the U.S. are responsible for their own income reporting in accordance with local law.
5. Responsibilities and security
- You are responsible for the security of the host machine: OS patches, network segmentation, and physical access controls.
- You must not attempt to read, decrypt, modify, or persist application traffic. The host runtime processes prompts and responses in memory only.
- You may not run other untrusted code that shares the GPU memory space with the host runtime (no co-tenanting with non-Perchy workloads at the GPU level).
- You promptly notify security@perchy.ai of any suspected compromise or anomaly.
6. Intellectual property and licensing
Models routed to your Compute may be provided under a vendor-imposed license that restricts caching or fine-tuning. By participating you agree to honor those licenses and to keep model weights only in volatile memory while serving requests.
7. Suspension and termination
We may suspend a host immediately for security, regulatory, or safety reasons. Either party may terminate at any time without cause; pending earnings are paid at the next scheduled payout (subject to KYC).
8. Disclaimers and liability
Perchy disclaims all warranties for the marketplace platform; you participate at your own risk. Perchy's total liability to a host is capped at the unpaid earnings owed to that host plus $1,000.
9. General
The Host Terms are governed by Delaware law with venue in San Francisco County, California. We may change these Host Terms with 30 days' notice; material changes are highlighted in the host CLI on next launch.
